Welcome to Turnaround Farm, located in Meaford, Ontario, near the shores of Georgian Bay, in colourful Grey County.
In 2014, our family found a small, forgotten-about parcel of land, located on a dead end road, on the beautiful fringes of the Tom Thomson trail. A modest 5 acres nestled amongst much larger farms, this little plot was know to the locals as ”the turnaround.”
Having remained vacant for decades, the land had taken on the role of housing odds and ends, this and that... remnants and tools and treasures of generations gone by.
After years of cleanup, building, and everything in between, we are finally on the next stage of the project, which is to provide a variety of quality homestead products to our community and visitors to the area. We produce seedlings, plants, honey, fruits and vegetables, and other items we grow and create right here on our homestead. We are constantly trying to learn new skills, expanding our offerings, and enjoying the adventure along the way.
We are continually striving to build a simple, sustainable farm to serve our community. Our farm is off-grid, and we grow food using traditional, small-scale, human-powered practices. We aim to be good stewards of the land, promote a strong local community, and share our homestead journey with anyone who may be interested in this type of living.
Thanks for visiting, and we hope to meet you soon!
